I have geotagged two images that I took while traveling.

Thing 15 - Podcasts
Podcasts are great! I have used iTunes to subscribe to The Tony Kornheiser show and also really enjoy Car Talk from NPR.

Thing 14 - Research Project Calculators
I had no idea these tools were available. It sounds like a good resource for people that need help organizing deadlines and work or require assistance on large research projects. Similar to Microsoft Project - but it actually helps to populate information for you. Very cool! I will remember this for my next large research project, whether at work or school.
Thing 13 - Online Productivity Tools
I've been using iGoogle for at least a year now and love it. All news updates and other information is available on any computer as soon as I log into google - it's great. I've also been using google calendar - which is user friendly and easy to use. It also syncs to my phone so I can view my schedule no matter where I am.
I am going to try the to-do lists at work! I always write things on post-its and it creates a big mess on my desk. For personal lists, I make them on my phone - but I haven't been able to figure out the best way to manage them at work. I'm excited to give it a try.

Thing 12 - Tagging and Del.icio.us
16Things taught me another thing about blogging today! Tagging blogs was very simple and would make blogging life very easy by allowing one to add labels to each entry.
I've always wondered if there is a way to transport your bookmarks around with you - Del.icio.us is great! It makes bookmarks portable and reviewable.

Thing 11 - Online Creations
It's great to know these tools are out there - I actually had no idea! I used a random generation of pictures on flickr to create the below badge.

Thing 9 - Photosharing with Flickr

I found this picture on Flickr and thought it was very cool. When I take photos myself, I tend to take them of nature and landscapes so this picture was right up my alley. It was posted by V.Plessky and can be found at the following link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vadim_plessky/2840465377/
Flickr was extremely easy to use!
Thing 8 - Wikis
Wiki's are a great way to share information and collaborate - I have even heard mentions of using them at work! I think they could be very useful when working on projects or learning about different initiatives in the workplace.
It is important to remember that since wiki information is user created content - it may not always be credible. This is the reason teachers may ban references from Wikipedia or other wikis.

Thing 7 - Online Collaboration Tools
Google Docs was more easy for me to use because I am more familiar with it. I have had a google account for years and have been fully leveraging Google Docs during that time by uploading materials that I will need to be easily accessible in the future from multiple computers.
Thing 6 - Digg, Reddit …[et al]
Digg would be useful in researching for reports or design projects because it allows you to search articles that have been deemed important by the users of Digg. It has a large variety and volume of content, but is easy to search at the same time. The comments are also useful, as well as the 'bury' feature which removes that article from your Digg page.
Digg is a wonderful marketing tool. By creating a "bookmark" on Digg about your business, you can allow users to Digg your business' information whether it be just your company website, or other content you have created. Very cool concept for the technology age of advertising!

Thing Five - Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking
I chose Twitter to use as my online journaling experience. It's a very unique experience because it allows you to update and/or track others' single thoughts, rather than full profiles. Today many companies have begun to use this type of program to promote their products or services, so it is easy to see how it can be applied to the professional setting.
Thing Four - Social Media
Building a social network is important and I have begun to add other students as friends on my Facebook account as I meet them in classes. This will allow us to continue to stay in contact even after we do not have class together anymore and could potentially strengthen bonds or create opportunities in the future.
It is important to remember to always stay professional in social media - even when it seems like there are only friends on social networking sites like Facebook. By keeping work history and profiles professional and up-to-date, potential employers may be interested while using this tool to recruit.

Thing Three - Online Communication
I have been using My Ai Campus.com for a variety of activities:
- checking school emails
- looking up class schedules
- viewing mid-term and final grades for classes
- linking into my online class
In addition to these things, the portal is a great resource to students as it provides information on all areas of Ai, such as: academics, campus life, registration, support, etc. I have not had any trouble accessing my student portal or the resources available on it.

Thing 2 - Set Up an RSS Account and Add Feeds
RSS feeds make it easy to stay up-to-date with the news sites, blogs and other websites without going to each one individually. I will be able to use this technology during school to track news about the graphic design industry and locate companies. This will allow me to be on top of important events without taking the extra time to search -- all the articles will come to me!
Thing 1 - Set Up Your Blog
Thing 1 was a great experience! I never realized it was so easy to create a blog. The instructions were easy to follow and made the first step very simple.
